About This Policy
AquaTrack helps you keep track of the water filters in your home, remember when each one needs replacing, and keep a record of the replacements you have made.
This policy explains what information the app handles, why it handles it, and the choices you have.
Information We Handle
AquaTrack only handles the information you enter, plus what is needed to keep your account working:
- Account information: the name and email address you sign in with, and the credentials that keep your account secure.
- Filter records: the details you enter for each filter, such as its name, location, model, size, installation date, expected lifespan, notes, and how many replacements you have in stock.
- Replacement history: the dates and notes you record each time you replace a filter.
- Photos: images you choose to attach to a filter record.
- Reminders and preferences: the notification and reminder settings you configure.
- Feedback: messages you send us, along with any contact email you include with them.
How We Use Information
We use this information only to run AquaTrack for you:
- to work out when each filter is due and show its current status
- to create your reminders and keep your notification list up to date
- to display your filters, photos, replacement history, and preferences
- to answer the questions and feedback you send us
Advertising and Selling
AquaTrack does not show advertising. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
Photos
Filter photos you add are stored privately rather than publicly. They are not published, not searchable, and not reachable through a public link. They are shown back to you through temporary links that expire.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. AquaTrack runs on a hosted application platform that stores and processes the app's data on our behalf, and that provider handles your information only in order to provide the service to us.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your filters, replacement history, notifications, and saved settings stay in your account until you remove them. You can delete individual filters and notifications in the app at any time.
You can delete your account data from the Settings screen. This permanently removes your filters, replacement history, notifications, and saved preferences. Deleted records cannot be recovered.
To have the account itself deleted, contact us using the details below.
Security
Your information is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to your records is limited to your account. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you entrust to us.
Children
AquaTrack is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices
- Edit or delete any filter, photo, note, or notification in the app.
- Change or turn off your reminder settings in Settings.
- Delete all of your account data from the Settings screen.
- Contact us to ask what information we hold, or to request deletion of your account.
Changes to This Policy
If the way AquaTrack handles information changes, we will update this page and the date shown at the top. Continuing to use AquaTrack after an update means you accept the revised policy.
